  • Sorry it's been awhile. We have all been sick around here! Noah got the horrible cold first, then I got it, and now Jacob has it. Jacob and Noah's both turned into an ear infection before all was said and done. UGH. I hate this time of year because of the sickness!!

Other than that, we are doing well. I just can't believe how quickly my kids are growing up. Jacob is 9 months old and getting so big. He will roll, turn in circles, get up on hands and knees....everything BUT go forward. So I guess he technically is not crawling yet....but he sure can get to whatever he needs to get to. He is also starting to repeat sounds. He can say "dog", "uh oh", "ball", and "dada". Of course, no "mama" yet. :) Noah is 2 1/2 and is such a big boy. He is completely potty trained during the day. I remember thinking it would never happen! But he is doing great. He even naps in his underwear now and stays dry. He only wears a diaper at night. He loves school and is doing so well there. He gets to go to the treasure box about every day!

Jeremy and I have been going to the gym and that makes us both feel so much better. Of course, I don't have a regular schedule, but I get over there when I can! The lady that watches the kids I trust...she is one of my good friends mom...so that is very nice.

Well, gotta run. Just wanted to do a quick update!!

  • A friend of mine has this on her blog and I thought it sounded like so much fun. So this is how it works: The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise.

There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive a gift.

  • Just wanted to fill everyone in on how our week has been!

I took Jacob to the doctor on Wednesday. He had had a cold for about a week, a sub normal appetite, had been a little fussier than usual, and Tuesday night was up crying for about an hour. Anyway, I suspected that he might have an ear infection and he did! So he is now on an antibiotic for his first ear infection. Thankfully, the medicine kicked in quickly and he seems to be feeling great now.

Noah's preschool did an "I Love You" program on Thursday. It was so cute! His class sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "Jesus Loves Me", "Baby Bumblebee", and "Here's My Valentine". Noah didn't sing too much, just kind've looked around and kept pulling his shirt up. :) At one point, he grabbed a microphone that was on the stage (it was off and was a mic that we let him hold and play with during rehearsals at church, so he didn't think there was anything wrong with this) and started to sing. The teacher went up and took it from him, and from that point on, he had a very sad look on his face.  After his program, I had to take him for his ENT follow up. Thankfully, we got an all clear and don't have to see the ENT again!

I attended a Tastefully Simple conference last weekend, and it was AWESOME. I learned so much and I'm so glad that I went. I feel like it has really helped me in my business and gotten me excited about it again.  Also, today...my doorbell rang at 11:00 this morning. I opened the door and there was a delivery of beautiful assorted colored roses, a beautiful vase, and chocolates from Jeremy for Valentine's Day! It was so sweet!

I hope that all of you are doing well. Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow!!

  • Jacob

Jacob said "MAMA" today for the first time! It was the cutest thing ever. I was saying over and over to him...."mama", "mama", "mama"....and all of a sudden he just stared at me and said "MAMA"! It was so sweet and brought tears to my eyes.

    Oh, the little things...
